Christ the Lord

Summary

In 2 Corinthians 11:2-4, Paul warns believers of giving ear to different versions of Jesus than the revelation that was preached by the apostles. While many things may legitimately be called a crisis in the Church today, none exceeds the confusion related to the person and work of Christ in its severity. As differing portraits and perspectives of Jesus abound in our day, the great need is to diligently contend for the faith once and for all handed down through the testimony of Scripture. In this message Stephen focuses Acts 2:36 where Peter declares that Jesus of Nazareth is both Lord and Christ. Understanding precisely what this revelation means proves to be the key to apostolic Christology in the New Testament.

  1. This is a great message! I have never truly sought out the meaning of Christ and Lord and yet I’ve read and said the two thousands of times!!! Do you have any notes available for this?
